Support students during challenging transitions, behavioral escalations, and crisis situations.
Build positive and trusting relationships with students while maintaining professional boundaries.
Maintain familiarity with all students assigned to the BCBA's caseload (including the student’s team).
Staff Coaching & Training
Model effective behavior management strategies in classrooms.
Support teachers, paraprofessionals, and educational teams in implementing behavior plans with fidelity.
Provide coaching and feedback regarding proactive behavior supports, de-escalation strategies, and classroom management techniques.
Assist in training new staff members on behavioral procedures and interventions.
Help teams develop confidence when managing challenging student behaviors.
Building Support
Collaborate professionally with administrators, case managers, teachers, counselors, related service providers, and support staff.
Serve as a behavioral resource throughout the school day.
Maintain a calm, solution-focused approach during challenging situations.
Communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders.
Support district-wide behavioral initiatives as assigned.
Coverage Responsibilities
Provide direct student coverage when behavioral support staff, paraprofessionals, or RBTs are absent.
Assist schools in maintaining continuity of behavioral programming and student support during staffing shortages.
Be flexible and responsive to the changing needs of students and school teams.
