Position Summary


The Director of Autism Services leads the exploration, planning, and implementation of autism services and ABA services for children served by Easter Seals North Georgia. Their primary responsibilities include working collaboratively across disciplines and with the ESNG leadership team, Program Directors, and staff to develop programs and services that foster inclusiveness, early identification, and treatment for children diagnosed with ASD.  


Essential Functions  


ABA Program:


  • Develop and oversee the implementation of ABA service programs for the home, school, and community settings (including through the BCW program). 

  • Oversee the development, training, and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and services in home, school, and community settings. 

  • Develop clinical employee training and onboarding programs, design a structured career path for clinicians, and manage clinical organization leadership development. 

  • Provide clinical expertise, oversight, and consultation to clinical leaders following evidence-based practices. 

  • Manage large and growing organization of BCBAs and BTs and support recruitment of clinical staff. 

  • Drives BCBA/RBT billable hours and develops processes/systems to achieve growth goals. 

  • Stay current on industry innovations, regulations, and best practices, and use knowledge to drive the culture of continuous improvement in care and patient programming. 

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with new and existing external stakeholders, including referral sources, community and advocacy partners, and payors.

  • Provide administrative and clinical support to the CEO on the development and implementation of organization objectives 

  • Participate in presentation and advocacy opportunities as an industry expert   


Navigator Program  


  • Develop and oversee the implementation of the Navigator Program to increase early identification of children with noted developmental delays and create a pathway to resources and services for students that receive an autism diagnosis across all ESNG centers. 

  • Oversee the development, training, and implementation of Navigator Training for teachers. 

  • Develop employee training and onboarding programs, design a structured career path for Family Navigators, and manage organization leadership development. 

  • Manage Family Navigators and oversee process of responding to In-House Referrals, early identification of autism, and aligning resources with the EEC curriculum  

  • Through the Navigator Program, provide Family Connections, information, resources, and services across all ESNG centers and the community. 

  • Provide clinical expertise, oversight, and consultation to Family Navigators following evidence-based practices. 

  • Stay current on industry innovations, regulations, and best practices, and use knowledge to drive the culture of continuous improvement in care and patient programming. 

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with new and existing external stakeholders, including referral sources, community and advocacy partners, and payors. 

  • Provide administrative and clinical support to the CEO on the development and implementation of organization objectives.

Requirements

Qualifications - Director of Autism Services


BCBA Education Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited university in acceptance with BACB guidelines

  • Completion of 8-hour supervision course


License/Certification


  • BCBA certification from the BACB, in good standing

  • Active state license, in good standing, when applicable


Work Experience


  • 5+ years working with children and autism spectrum disorders

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred

  • Crisis management experience, preferred


Minimum Competency Requirements


  • Ability to follow written instructions

  • Ability to use computers and computer/software programs

  • Ability to communicate expressively and receptively in order to follow IPOS requirements, emergency procedures, and report on activities performed
