Location: Boston, MA (In-person at 930 Commonwealth Ave)
Position Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, wth occasional nights and weekends for school events
Reports To: Chief of Staff
Pay: $45-55k annual salary
Position Summary
RTG Instructors play a key role in delivering individualized, engaging instruction across a range of life skills, employment preparation, and social learning opportunities. Instructors collaborate with participants, families, and the RTG team to create a welcoming, respectful, and productive learning environment. Instructors work within the school, in the community, and workplace settings using Applied Behavior Analytic teaching methodology.
Key Responsibilities
Use Applied Behavior Analysis teaching methodology to facilitate small-group and 1:1 instruction focused on:
Life skills (e.g., cooking, cleaning, personal care)
Pre-employment and vocational skills
Community navigation and social interaction
Use person-centered, strength-based approaches to support individual goals
Implement visual supports, structured routines, and flexible strategies to meet diverse learning needs
Track daily progress and contribute to regular updates for participants and families
Collaborate with the broader RTG team, including job coaches, program leads, and therapists, to ensure consistency and quality of support
Model and reinforce respectful, empowering communication and behavior
Assist with community-based outings, events, and partnerships
Support daily routines including arrival/dismissal, meals, and transitions
Other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A passion for working with neurodivergent young adults
Experience in special education, ABA, social work, vocational coaching, or related fields
Patience, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit
Strong communication and organizational skills
Commitment to neurodiversity-affirming and person-centered practices
Comfort working in dynamic, community-based settings

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in education, psychology, or a related field preferred
Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental differences
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass background checks and required trainings
