About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated full or part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans for children with behavioral health needs. This role is essential in providing support and guidance to help improve the quality of life for our patients through evidence-based practices using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Please note part-time positions can lead to full-time employment for the right individual.  


RESPONSIBILITIES: 


  • Implement behavior intervention plans as designed by the supervising BCBA. 

  • Collect and record data on patient behaviors and progress towards goals/targets. 

  • Maintain accurate session notes, medical documentation, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. 

  • Collaborate with your supervising BCBA, and families and caregivers to develop care plans that promote positive behavioral changes. 

  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health practices.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with your RBT credential and all necessary behavioral health credentialing.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required.

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or behavioral challenges.

  • Knowledge of medical records management and data collection techniques.

  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and the importance of confidentiality in behavioral health documentation.

  • Understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

  • Ability to pass a background check and have a valid driver's license.

About the Company

Progressive ABA, Inc. (PABA) provides services in applied behavior analysis (ABA) to children with ASD, ADHD/ADD, OCD, SID, ODD, and similar learning differences. PABA was the the first ABA clinic to open in the Hampton Roads area in 2011, and has been in business since 1993. Currently, PABA is looking to expand to a bigger clinical facility and incorporating ST, OT, SI, and counseling services. Our ABA approach uses trauma-informed practices and evidence-based techniques individualized to each patient's unique needs.
